CANDLELIGHT TRIBUTE

WAUKESHA CHRISTMAS PARADE

This holiday season, we invite our community to walk together through the streets of Waukesha—mothers, fathers, siblings, grandparents, and friends—each carrying a candle in honor of a child we love and miss.

This is a visible reminder that love still lives, even in loss.

Join us as we carry the light of our children—together, their love shines on.

A Night to Remember - A Light to Honor

WALK WITH US

We come together not to celebrate what was lost, but to honor what remains—love, memory, and the courage to keep carrying their light.

  • Date: Sunday, December 7th

  • Location: Downtown Waukesha, Wisconsin

  • Private Gathering (prior to the parade) at Travieso Latin Fusion

    1:30–3:30 PM

    4:00 PM
Walk side by side with other families, supporters, and friends, carrying candles in honor of every child whose light continues to shine. Together, our love will fill the streets.

Every Candle, Every Step, Matters

HOW TO PARTICIPATE

When we walk together, we remind the world that love outlives loss. Your presence — your child’s light — makes this night sacred.

  1. WALK IN HONOR

Join us as we walk in remembrance of our children — a powerful, visible act of love. Every step, every name spoken, and every candle held is a reminder that our children are never forgotten.

This walk is open to all bereaved mothers, fathers, siblings, grandparents, extended family, and friends who wish to honor a child’s life.

Whether you carry your own candle or walk in support of another family, your presence matters. Together, we’ll fill the parade route with love, courage, and light.

Candles for our Light Their Names BRAVE Candlelight Tribute have been generously donated by The Strebe Family in loving memory of their son and brother, Colin Christopher Strebe. Wildly alive in Heaven, please click Colin's photo to read about his life.

  1. SPREAD THE WORD

The more hearts that join, the brighter the light becomes. Tell your community, church, co-workers, and friends. Encourage them to walk beside us or to line the parade route in support.

Share our Light Their Names page or flyer with a fellow bereaved family missing their child, too. Every share helps remind the world that grief and love can coexist — and that no family should walk this road alone.

  1. CONTRIBUTE

If you’re unable to walk, but wish to contribute in honor of someone, you can help provide refreshments, remembrance activities, and connection for bereaved mothers and their families with any donation amount.

With your gift, you may designate a candle in honor of a child — your own or on behalf of someone you love. Your sponsored candle will be placed on our BRAVE Candlelight platform, shining beside those walking in the light.

We are honored to walk with you on Sunday, December 7.
