Support Books Written by Our Founder

Grief Guidebooks

When the unimaginable happens and you lose a child, finding the right words—or any words—feels impossible. At a Loss for Words: Support for Bereaved Parents After Experiencing the Death of Your Child was written for bereaved parents like you by our founder, Lisa Price. After losing her daughter Ari in 2017, Lisa faced the heartbreaking reality that grief lasts long after the sympathy fades.

This book offers comfort, insight, and practical tools to help you navigate your grief, advocate for your needs, and find ways to carry your loss while continuing to live. Focusing on self-care and overall well-being, it empowers you to make choices that bring hope and meaning back into your life. By honoring your own life, you also honor the life of your child—this book is here to support you on that path.

All too often, when the death of a baby or child occurs, family and friends simply don't know what to say (or do). At a Loss for Words: What to Say (or Do) When Supporting Bereaved Parents After Experiencing the Death of Their Child was written for this very reason. This is the book that our founder and author, Lisa Price, wished was available to give her family and friends after the death of her daughter.

One of the greatest tragedies in bereavement is the grief lasts longer than the support & sympathy. With this book in hand, supporters can lovingly walk toward a conversation about death and grief instead of walking away. This book provides guidelines, dos and don’ts for your family and friends when they offer help in thought, word, and action, including quotes specifically from bereaved parents.
